Children's Storyhour is held each week at the library. Children are welcome to attend from the time they are three until they enter first grade. This program is held on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. throughout the year and features books and stories in many forms. Children's Librarian, Yvonne Jensen includes many learning opportunities in the form of crafts as well as activities. "Williwaw!" by Tom Bodett and "Born to be a Cowgirl" by Candace Savage are available for our junior readers.
Our youngest readers will be sure to like "And Tango Makes Three" by Justin Richardson and "Chico" by Sandra Day O'Conner.
An interesting tidbit - if children are read to 30 minutes a day from infancy, by the time they are ready for kindergarten they will have been fed over 900 hours of brain food! Read to a child today!
