Every Thursday at 1 p.m. throughout the summer the library will show a film suitable for children and adults. "Nanny McPhee" will be shown on June 8. Other films planned include, "Zathura," "The Pacifier," "A Wrinkle in Time," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Spirit." When new releases arrive they will also be added to the roster of films.

Saturday, June 17 a Rummage Sale will be held on the library lawn. Proceeds will benefit the Niobrara County Library Foundation Endowment Fund. The sale is slated to begin at 8 a.m. for more information contact Lynn Carlson at 334-3306.

The Annual Book Sale and Ice Cream Social will be held on Saturday, June 24. The book sale begins at 8 a.m and the Ice Cream Social at 11 a.m. David Chapman will be on hand to sign copies of his book, "The Man Who Carried a Drum." Plan now to attend and watch for more details!

New books include "Tomb of the Golden Bird" by Elizabeth Peters, "The Killing Dance" by Laurell K. Hamilton, "Danger in the Shadows" by Dee Henderson, "Blue Shoes and Happiness" by Alexander McCall Smith, "Gone" by Jonathan Kellerman, "Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clark, "Flight of the Nighthawk" by Raymond E. Feist, "The Drawing Bible" by Craig Nelson, "Our Soldier Speaks" by John Bonar and "Finding Meaning in the Second Half of Life" by James Hollis.

"Class Trip to the Haunted House" and "The Treasure Haunt" by Marcia Thornton Jones are available for our junior readers.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like "Hero Cat" by Eileen Spinelli and "Last Day Blues" by Julie Danneberg.

"Just For Dad!" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, June 13 -- Plan to attend!
