The film, "A Home of Our Own" starring Kathy Bates will be shown at the library on Monday, September 25 at 6 p.m. as part of the Faces of Family series. This film portrays Bates as a single mother who comes to appreciate the value of community as she builds her family a home in Idaho. The discussion is planned to also include participants at the Wyoming Women's Center. A free meal will be provided as well as the opportunity for discussion, be sure to attend this event.

Several new newspaper subscriptions are available at the library as a result of funding from the Wyoming Legislature Library Funding Amendment, 2006. Be sure to stop in and browse the selection.

Free, downloadable eAudiobooks are also a new feature at your library. You can download eAudiobooks to your PC or to a portable device. Go to http://niobraracountylibrary.org and check this new feature out. There are over 1200 titles currently available, including languages so take a minute and look it over. New titles are scheduled to be added on a regular basis.

New books include "The Secret Life of Becky Miller" by Sharon Hinck, "Full of Grace" by Dorthea Benton Frank, "Pegasus Descending" by James Lee Burke, "Angels Fall" by Nora Roberts, "The Traitor" by Stephen Coonts, "Darkness & Light" by John Harvey, "Can't Wait to Get to Heaven" by Fannie Flagg, "Ethical Wills : Putting Your Values on Paper " by Barry B. Baines and "Jimmy Stewart : the Truth Behind the Legend" by Michael Munn.

New books for the young adult include "Public Enemy Number Two" by Anthony Horowitz.

Junior readers will enjoy "Double Identity" by Margaret Peterson Haddix, "Wizard or Witch?" by Tony Abbott and "Incredible You! : 10 Ways to Let Your Greatness Shine
Through"
by Wayne Dyer and "Marisol" by Gary Soto.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like "Castaways" by Alison Inches and "Happy Heartwood Day" by David Kirk.

"Welcome Fall!" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, September 19 at 10 a.m. Storyhour is held each Tuesday for children that are three through kindergarten.
