Children's Book Week will be celebrated during the week of November 12. This is a perfect opportunity for parents and children to visit the library together, if you haven't visited the Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library in a while, be sure to stop. New children's books are arriving regularly. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from Noon until 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

The library will host Terry McDowell, Foster Care Coordinator for District 8 in an informative program on Wednesday, November 15 at 6:30. Watch for more details.

Many new books are arriving on a regular basis, please stop in and check them out. Recent additions include "The Garden of Eden and Other Criminal Delights" by Faye Kellerman "Rise and Shine" by Anna Quindlen, "Armageddon's Children" by Terry Brooks, "Letters from Lost Cabin: A Candid Glimpse of Wyoming a Century Ago" by Percy H. Shallenberger, "Bears I have Known" by Bob Murphy "Capitol Characters of Old Cheyenne" by Lori Van Pelt and "The Languages of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief" by Francis S. Collins.

New books for the young adult include "The Blood Confession" by Alisa M. Libby, "Lord of the Shadows" by Darren Shan and "Under the Baseball Moon" by John H. Ritter.

Junior readers will enjoy "Just for You to Know" by Cheryl Harness, "Harry the Poisonous Centipede Goes to Sea" by Lynne Reid Banks and "Summer of the War" by Gloria Whelan.

Our youngest readers will be sure to like "Puppies, Puppies Everywhere!" by Cat Urbigkit, "Little Lost Bat" by Sandra Markle and "Legends of the Sea Fairies" by Shannon Keegan.

"Pilgrims & Indians" will be the theme for Storyhour on November 7. Storyhour is held every Tuesday from 10 to 11 p.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
