"Puppy-dog" puppets were the craft at Storyhour on August 17.

"Around the World in 8-Weeks" will be the theme of the fall Afterschool Programs held during September and October. The programs will be held on Tuesdays for first and second grade children and on Thursdays for children in the third and fourth grades. Yvonne has many great activities planned so be sure to watch for more information about registration.

There are still some Monday Night Football Books left if you haven't gotten yours yet! Stop by the library or contact Foundation members.

Have you been out to 3 Sisters Truck Stop lately? Be sure to stop out and check out the Fast Action Video Bingo as well as enjoy a great meal. On behalf of the NCLF we extend our sincere thanks to Shirley, Lori and Kim for their contributions to the Kresge Challenge Grant. Be sure to stop out soon!

New books in the adult library include "The Ghost and Mrs. McClure" by Alice Kimberly, "Kiss Me While I Sleep" by Linda Howard, "Sundance" by Janet Mills, "Four Souls" by Louise Erdrich, "'R' is for Ricochet" by Sue Grafton, "Bait" by Karen Robards, "The Body Art Book" by Jean-Chris Miller, and "The One Minute Millionaire" by Mark Victor Hanson.

For the young adult there is "The A-List: a novel" by Zoey Dean.

Our junior reader's will enjoy "Buried Alive" by Gloria Skurzynski, "The Case of the Best Pet Ever" by James Preller, "The Riding Club Crime" by Carolyn Keene and "Passport to Danger" by Franklin W. Dixon.

For our younger readers, there is "Minnie and Moo: Will You Be My Valentine" by Denys Cazet and "Tom, Ally, and the Baby-sitter" by Beth Robbins.

"1-2-3" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, August 31, 2004. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
