"Billy Elliot" will be shown at the library on Wednesday, April 25 at 6 p.m. This historical drama takes place in England during the tumultuous miners' strike of 1984. Against the will of his father young Billy Elliot (Jamie Bell) exchanges his boxing gloves for ballet slippers. When he gets the chance to audition for the Royal Ballet School he must decide whether or not he can defy his macho father's (Gary Lewis) wishes. Plan to attend this Snapshots of Society feature. A light meal will be served and discussion will include participants at the Wyoming Women's Center via an audio connection.

Three great RIF (Reading is Fundamental) programs are behind us now. 74 children participated in at least one of the programs. We extend our thanks to the Future Business Leaders of America and their leader, Candy Dooper as well as the Friends of the Library members for making these programs a success. If your children did not get the chance to get all three of their books, please stop in soon and pick them up!
