BACK-To-SCHOOL RIF!
Plan to attend! Thursday, August 16, 2007 The Friends of the Niobrara County Library will present a fall Back-To-School RIF (Reading is Fundamental) program on Wednesday, August 29 at 6:30 p.m. on the outside lawn at the library.
Performer, 'Rattlesnake Jake' (Jake Martin) will be on hand to entertain and delight children from preschool age on.
Earlier this year, Holiday Inn Express joined with Reading Is Fundamental to help raise awareness about children's literacy. To kick-off the partnership, Holiday Inn Express and Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education and media company and a long-time supporter of RIF, will distribute 150,000 new books to RIF programs across the country, the Friends of the Niobrara County Library RIF program was selected as one of the recipients and the Holiday Inn Express in Douglas is our local sponsor.
During the August 29th RIF program each child will go home with brand new books for their very own! Plan now to bring your children for this great program!
