The Friends of the Library will be hosting their annual Homemade Soup and Bread Sale on Tuesday, November 20 at Decker's at 4 p.m. Be sure to stop in and select some of the best soup and bread around! Proceeds from this fundraiser are for the Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program.

Be sure to stop by the library on Friday, November 16 between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. to visit with Chris Schneider. Schneider is the author of "Starting Your Career in Broadcasting" and will also be speaking at the Chamber of Commerce banquet on Saturday.

A new title for the young adults is "Diamonds in the Shadows" by Caroline B. Cooney.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new chapter books "The Case of the Sneaky Snowman" by Carolyn Keene, "Ivy & Bean Break the Fossil Record" by Annie Barrows, "Soupy Saturdays With the Pain & the Great One" by Judy Blume and "Monday With a Mad Genius" by Mary Pope Osborne. New picture books include "Mind Your Manners, B. B. Wolf" by Judy Sierra, "Mercy Watson, Princess in Disguise" by Kate Dimarillo, "When the Wizzy Foot Went Walking" by Roni Schotter and "Charlie at the Zoo" by Marcus Pfister.
