Two graduates of Niobrara County High School will be on hand with copies of their recent books. Evelyn Rogina Doussard, Class of 1957 recently released “Dusty Roads.” This book of poetry depicts life and if one word were used to describe this book it would be life. For each poem is of a real person; individual tapestries woven from the threads of those who lived it.

Don West, Class of 1956 will be on hand with his recent release of “Rawhide.” This historical western novel is the story of two young men who left Ohio on a great adventure – a trip west on the fabled Oregon Trail. But, hard work and long hours wasn’t enough to overcome the treachery they found waiting for them in the Dakota Territory. Both of these authors will have copies of their books available.

New for adults is “Quicksand” by Iris Johansen. Forensic Sculptor Eve Duncan is drawn into Killer Henry Kistle’s sick game as she desperately tries to find her missing daughter. Henry taunts Eve with details of the kidnapping and promises to disclose the location of Bonnie’s body.
