"Man of the Year" will be shown at the library on Wednesday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. This independent film is the story of Maiquel. He has lost a bet and dyed his hair blond; this event triggers a head-on collision with destiny, all within 24 hours. This film is Portuguese with English subtitles. Plan now to attend.


On Tuesday November 2, a brown-bag lunch program featuring speaker Mike Kohl will be held at noon at the library. Kohl will speak on the book he's recently co-edited "A Triceratops Hunt in Pioneer Wyoming" which is based on the diary of J.P. Sams. Sams had traveled to Lusk and Wyoming in search of the three-horned dinosaur in 1895. For more information about this program call the library at 334-3490.


New books in the adult library include "Missing Marlene" by Evan Marshall, "Saucer: the Conquest" by Stephen Coonts, "The Exile" by Allen Folsom, "At Hell's Gate" by Ethan Black, "The Immortal Highlander" by Karen Marie Moning, "Woman Power" by Dr. Laura Schlessinger, "The Foundation Diet" by Anthony J. Burley, and "Down to the Wire" by Robert L. Shoop.


For the young adult, there is "Away Laughing on a Fast Camel" by Louise Rennison, plus "Skeleton Key" and "Eagle Strike" by Anthony Horowitz.

Our junior reader's will enjoy "Amber Brown Wants Extra Credit," "Amber Brown is Green
with Envy,"
and "You Can't Eat Your Chicken Pox, Amber Brown "by Paula Danzinger.


For our younger readers, there is "Moose Master," "Operation Spy," and "Swimming with Sharks" by George Edward Stanley.



"Halloween is Almost Here" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, October 26, 2004. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
