The Friends of the Library extend their thanks for your support at the Annual Homemade Soup and Bread Sale – proceeds will benefit the upcoming Reading is Fundamental Programs to be held in February, March and April 2009.

Don’t forget to stop by the library on Friday morning bright and early. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will be available for pick up after 7:30 a.m. Glazed are $8 per dozen and Mixed are $9 – proceeds from this fundraiser go towards the Wyoming Public Library Endowment Challenge and each dollar raised will be matched by $3!

A new fiction book is “The Eleventh Man” by Ivan Doig. Ben Reinking, a member of the 1941 Montana State University football team known as the “Supreme Team” has been plucked from pilot training by a Military propaganda machine hungry for heroes. His job -- to chronicle the adventures of his team mates, man-by-man, for publication in small–town newspapers across the country. Ready for action, Reinking chafes at the assignment.

Other new books include “Foundation” by Mercedes Lackey, “Hounded to Death” by Rita Mae Brown, “A Most Wanted Man” by John LeCarre, “Big Sky Winter” by Diane Palmer and “A Cedar Cove Christmas” by Debbie Macomber.

New non-fiction includes “American Prince: A Memoir” by Tony Curtis, “Fleeced” by Dick Morris and “Brittles, Barks, & Bonbons: Delicious Recipes for Quick and Easy Candy” by Charity Ferreira.

A new young adult book is “The Low Road” by Daniel Kirk.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books “Sleeping Over” by P.J. Denton, “Zibby Payne and the Party Problem” by Alison Bell and “Harriet the Hamster Fairy” by Daisy Meadows. New picture books are “The Scrambled States of America Talent Show” by Laurie Keller and “Something Is Not Quite Right!" by Ralf Butschkou.

“Jolly Holiday" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 11. Storyhour is held each Tuesday and Thursday (except Holidays) from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten throughout the year.
