Have you dialed into the storyline, "Dial-A-Story" lately? This great children's story opportunity is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and stories are often read by volunteer Judy Hamaker as well as others on occasion. The number is 334-3274 and can be dialed 24-7, the stories are generally under 6 minutes so have your children call today and hear a great new story!
New books in the adult library include "Paperback Writer" by Stephen Bly, "The Winds of Change" by Martha Grimes, "Murder List" by Julie Garwood, "Blind Alley" by Iris Johansen, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" by Sidney Sheldon, "Night of Rain and Stars" by Maeve Binchy, "What to Eat When You Can't Eat Anything" by Chupi Sweetman, "Hollywood Knits Style" by Suss Cousins and "Invisible Acts of Power" by Caroline Myss.
For the young adult, there is "Who Am I," "Face the Music," "Road Trip" and My Name is Chloe" by Melody Carlson as well as "Mister Monday" and "Grim Tuesday" by Garth Nix.
Our junior reader's will enjoy "Desert Dancer," "Gift Horse," "Red Feather Filly" and Untamed"by Terri Farley along with "Come What May," "Every New Day," "Holding Fast," and "Coming Home," byLauren Brooke.
For our younger readers, there is "I Want to Be a Zookeeper," "I Want to Be a Librarian," "I Want to Be a Teacher," and "I Want to Be a Nurse"by Dan Liebman.
"Together We Can" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, November 9, 2004. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
