The Friends of the Library are planning a Homemade Holiday Cookie and Candy Swap with a chili lunch on Thursday, December 2 at the library. Tickets are limited to the first 50. For $5.00 participants are able to trade 3 dozen homemade cookies or candy and have lunch. For more details contact the library or any FOL board member: Karen Titchener, Mary Anne Foreman, Traci Bruegger, Joan Lenz, Jeanine Larson, Linda Decker and Tricia Eaton.

"An evening of cinema?" presents the Danish independent film "Morlang" tonight at 6:30 at the library.

The Foundation is working hard to raise the remaining $90,000 of the Kresge Challenge Grant. New books in the adult library include "Dark Tower VII" by Stephen King, "People of the Raven" by Kathleen O'Neal Gear, "The Secret of Ararat" by Tim LaHaye, "Wife of Moon" by Margaret Coel, "Amber and Ashes" by Margaret Weis, "Shoulder the Sky" by Anne Perry, "Family First" by Dr. Phil McGraw, "The Fail-Proof Enterprise" by Bob Thomas, "Spade, Skirret, and Parsnip" by Bill Laws, and "Guinness World Records 2005."

For the young adult, there is "Mates, Dates, and Sleepover Secrets" and "Mates, Dates, and Cosmic Kisses" by Cathy Hopkins as well as "All I Want is Everything" and "You Know You Love Me" by Cecily Von Ziegesar.

Our junior readers will enjoy "Gift Horse" and Friendly Foal" by Dani Daley along with "Star's Inspiration" and "Cindy's Desert Adventure" by Mary Newhall Anderson.

Our younger readers will like "How it Happens at the Candy Company" by Jenna Anderson and "How it Happens at the Post Office" by Dawn Frederick.

"Give Thanks" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, November 23, 2004. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
