Kate Morton’s “The Forgotten Garden” was talked about long after being read. Will her newest, “The Distant Hours” be the same? A letter delivered 50 years late sends Edie Burchill to Milderhurst Castle, a great but moldering old House in Kent where her mother was billeted as a child during World War II. There she begins to unravel her mother’s past; but there are other secrets hidden in the stones of Milderhurst. The truth about what happened in “the distant hours” of the past has been waiting a long time for someone to find it. Call 334-3490 to reserve this book.
