Professional Colorado puppeteer, Bob Aiken will present the puppet show, "Puppet Variations" as part of the RIF series on Wednesday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Aiken has been performing for children and their families since 1971 and the common trait among all of his puppet performances is that the puppets truly come alive! Sure to be enjoyed by all! Children in attendance will all receive their very own book(s) as part of the Reading is Fundamental program. For more information about program sponsored by the Friends of the Library contact the library.

The final program of the "Steed Reads Festival @ the Library" will be the showing of the film, "Secretariat" on Monday, April 18 at 6 p.m. The evening includes a light meal and discussion with Deane Tucker. This program and the series is supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Arts Council, through funding from the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts and locally with a grant with the NCSD Recreation District.

A new suspense book is "Treachery in Death" by J. D. Robb. Peabody overhears two fellow police officers, Oberman and Garnet, talking in what they thought was the deserted basement gym at Central. She soon realizes that they are guilty of corruption and murder and that her life is in danger if they ever find out she was witness to their conversation. She takes the information to Lieutenant Eve Dallas and Eve's husband, Roake who are soon helping to get the hard evidence needed to bring the dirty cops down...knowing that the two will not hesitate to kill again to save themselves.

Other new fiction books include "If Wishes Were Horses" by Robert Barclay, "The Golden Man" by Annabel Lyon, "Gideon's Sword" by Douglas Preston, "Wicked Lies" by Lisa Jackson, "Fire in the Sky" by W. Michael Gear and "Learning to Swim" by Sara J. Henry.
