Don't forget the Brown Bag Lunch Program on Thursday, January 27 at noon at the library. Dr. Mike Jording will present a program on historical markers around the area, bring your lunch and enjoy an hour of regional history.

The spring sessions of Afterschool programs begin Thursday, February 3 for 3rd, 4th & 5th grades. The 1st and 2nd grade session will begin Tuesday, February 8th. Yvonne has many great things planned so be sure to register your children. For more information or to register stop by the library or call 334-3490.

The Friends of the Library will be hosting the first of three Reading is Fundamental (RIF) programs on Wednesday, February 9th. The program will feature a puppet show "Little Red Racing Heart" and also the children will be able to make Valentine crafts. Cookies and milk will be served and the highlight of the evening will be when the children get to pick out their very own book to take home and keep. Watch for more information.

New books in the adult library include "Life Expectancy" by Dean Koontz, "Loop Group" by Larry McMurtry, "Black Wind" by Clive Cussler "Celeste" by V. C. Andrews, "Golden Years" by Andrew M. Greeley, "The Rottweiler" by Ruth Rendell, "The 8th Habit" by Stephen R. Covey, "The Piano Teacher" by Elfriede Jelinek, "Feed Me! I'm Yours" by Vickie Landsky and "Go It Alone" by Bruce Judson.

Our junior readers will enjoy "Clifford Finds a Clue" by Gail Herman.

For our younger readers, there is "It's Justin Time, Amber Brown" by Paula Danziger, "Hurry-up, Spider Man" by Kate Egan and "The Toughest Cowboy or How the Wild West Was Really Won" by John Frank.

"Heart to Heart" is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, February 1, 2005. Storyhour is held each Tuesday throughout the year from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m children 3 through kindergarten.
