Friday, December 23 the film, "Mr. Popper's Penguins" will be shown at 1 p.m. Mr. Popper is a successful businessman who's clueless when it comes to the really important things in life... until he gets an unexpected present... six 'adorable' penguins. Bring your own drink, the library provides the popcorn! The film is rated PG and 94 minutes."Kung Fu Panda 2" will be shown on Friday, December 30.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new books: "Out at Second" by Stephanie Peters, "The Clue in the Recycling Bin" by Gertrude Chandler Warner and "Feel the Force" by Benjamin Harper.
