The library will be closed the week of March 19 through March 23, 2012 for the installation of new lighting. It is planned to reopen on Monday, March 26th at 10 a.m. unless it's possible to do that sooner. Library patrons will be able to check out additional items prior to the closure. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

The next movie in the Survival series is "Jeremiah Johnson" which is slated to be shown on Monday, March 26 at 6 p.m. A light meal will be served and attendees will enjoy discussion facilitated by Deane Tucker.
Elmore Leonard's new book is "Raylan." With the closing of the Kentucky coal mines, marijuana became the biggest cash crop in the state; one that was chump change compared to the quarter million a human body could get you - sold piece by piece. By the time U.S. Marshall Raylan Givens finds out who's making the cuts, he's lying naked in a bathtub with a cool transplant nurse about to go for his kidneys.
Other new fiction books include "Running the Rift" by Naomi Benaron, "D.C. Dead" by Stuart Woods, "Leela's Book" by Alice Albinia, "Locked In" by Tom Clancy, "Song of my Heart" by Kim Vogel Sawyer, "A Devil in Waiting" by Jack Higgins and "Mama Ruby" by Mary Monroe. Some new titles for the young adult are "The Fire" by James Patterson and "Love? Maybe" by Heather Helper.
New non-fiction books are "Honor in the Dust: Theodore Roosevelt, War in the Philippines, and the Rise and Fall of America's Imperial Dream" by Gregg Jones and "Use Your Brain to Change Your Age: Secrets to Look, Feel, and Think Younger Everyday" by Daniel G. Amen, M.D.
The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new chapter books: "How Not to Run for President" by Catherine Clark, "The Last Musketeer" by Stuart Gibbs plus "The Clementine Series" by Sara Penny Packer. Some new picture books include "Pooh's Cleanup" by Lauren Cecil, "Flynn Saves the Day" by Reverend W. Awdry and "The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse" by Eric Carle.
There will be no Storyhour on March 20, 2012 as the library will be closed. The next Storyhour will be on March 27, 2012 at 10 a.m.
