Don’t forget … Wyoming author, Craig Johnson will be at the library on Friday, July 27 at 6:30 p.m. Plan to attend!

Have you ordered your peaches? Monday, July 30 is the last day to order fresh Palisade, Colorado peaches that will be available to pick up at the library on Tuesday, August 7 or Wednesday, August 8. A half-bushel is $40 and proceeds will be matched through the Wyoming Public Library Endowment Challenge. In Niobrara County each dollar raised is matched by $3! This new endowment challenge was issued on July 1 and the goal is $43,478. To order your peaches call the library, 334-3490; Leslie Hammond, 334-2534; Lisa Pischel, 340-0471 or Pat Bruch, 334-3153.

The movie, The Pacifier will be shown on Thursday, August 2 at 1:30 p.m. The film is rated PG and is 95 minutes. The library provides the popcorn, bring your own drink.

A new fiction book is “Little Century” by Anna Keesey. After the death of her mother, 18-year-old Esther Chambers heads west in search of her only living relative, a cattle rancher in Oregon. There she homesteads land near her cousin’s ranch, but she soon discovers a range war is brewing – cattle against sheep – and she finds her sympathies divided between her cousin and a sheepherder named Ben Cruff.

Other new fiction books include “Fifty Shades Darker” by E. L. James, “Too Rich For a Bride” by Mona Hodgson, “The Last Kind Words” by Tom Piccirilli, “First, Best, and Only” by Barbara Delinsky, "The Conviction” by Robert Dugoni, “Spring Fever” by Mary Kay Andrews, “The Storm” by Clive Cussler and “Wicked Business” by Janet Evanovich. New titles for the young adult include “Drowned Cities” by Paolo Bacigalupi, “Wither” by Lauren DeStefano and “Out of My Mind” by Sharon M. Draper.

New non-fiction books are “Food in Jars: Preserving in Small Batches Year-Round” by Marisa McClellen, “The Seer” by Lars Muhl and “The Passage of Power” by Robert A. Caro.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior titles: “13 Treasurers” by Michelle Harrison, “Because of Mr. Terupt” by Rob Buyea and “Dark Fire” by Chris D’Lacey. Some new easy books are “Ruth’s Pink Pajamas” by Julie Gassman, “Terrible, Awful, Horrible Manners” by Beth Bracken and “Cindy Moo” by Lori Mortensen.
