A new novel is “Stella Bain” by Anita Shreve. It is 1916, and a woman awakens in a field hospital in France. She wears a British nurse’s aide’s uniform but has an American accent with no memory of her past. Other new fiction books include “We Are Water” by Wally Lamb, “Perfectly Matched” by Maggie Brendan, “The Valley of Amazement” by Amy Tan and “A Nantucket Christmas” by Nancy Thayer. Twenty different suspense writers have joined forces to create the novel, “Inherit the Dead,” other good reads include: “Winners” by Danielle Steel, “Dust” by Patricia Cornwell, “Longbourn” by Jo Baker and “Three Can Keep a Secret” by Archer Mayor. James Dashner begins a new young adult series with “The Eye of Minds.”
