Spring is in the air and if you are thinking about gardening, stop in and check out the selection of books and magazines available. There are also some DVD's that might be of interest. If a specific title is on your list and it's not held at our library just let us know as we can generally borrow from another library at no cost to you, or it may be something that would benefit our collection and we would add it to the library.

The popular film, "Frozen" will be shown at the library on Friday, March 21 at 1:30 p.m. The library provides popcorn, but please bring your own drink.

Monday, March 24 the film, "Rabbit-Proof Fence" will be shown as part of the Social Issues Dinner & Movie series, the film begins at 6 p.m. Deane Tucker will facilitate the discussion which will also include participants at WWC.

A new espionage thriller is "The Counterfeit Agent" by Alex Berenson. John Wells chases his most cunning adversary, a former CIA operative who seems to have vanished from the earth. As Wells and his old CIA boss, Ellis Shafer close in on the truth, they realize they may already be too late to pull the United States back from war with Iran.

Other new fiction books are "The Deliverance of Evil" by Robert Costantini, "Moving Target" by J. A. Jance, "Private L.A." by James Patterson, "Castle Rock" by Carolyn Hart, "The Martian" by Andy Weir, "The Museum of Extraordinary Things" by Alice Hoffman, "Rawhide Robinson Rides the Range" by Rod Miller and "Perfect Together" by Carly Phillips. A new title for the young adult is "Teen Spirit" by Francesca Lia Block.

New adult non-fiction books are "People Tools: 54 Strategies for Building Relationships, Creating Joy, and Embracing Prosperity" by Alan C. Fox, "How Toddlers Thrive: What Parents Can Do Today for Children Age 2-5 To Plant Seeds of Life Long Success" by Tovah P. Klein, and "Calamity-Free Crochet: Trouble-Shooting Tips and Advice for the Savvy Needlecrafter" by Catherine Hirst.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "Dogsled Dreams" by Terry Lynn Johnson and "Darkness Falls" by Erin Hunter. Some new easy titles are "Big Rig" by Jamie A. Swenson and "Daisy and Josephine" by Melissa Gilbert.
