The first film in the Dinner & Movie series, "Cinema and the Sacred" will be Monday, January 26 at 6 p.m. with "Little Buddha" on the screen. A light meal will be available and Deane Tucker will facilitate the discussion which will include participants at WWC. For more information call or stop by the library.

Thank you Clayton Potter! Clayton, Future Business Leaders of America member, planned and presented the Reading Is Fun program on January 14 with the help of Traylin Bruegger and Cole Mellott and was a great success. Several other FBLA members helped the Friends of the Library with the 'Olaf' snowman craft and children all took home a completed project AND their very own book to keep. The next RIF will be Wednesday, February 11.

The last chance to "Read Off Your Fines" will be Sunday, January 25 from 1-3 p.m. Up to $4 could be read off on Sunday so be sure to consider this opportunity!

Michael and Kathleen O'Neal Gear will be at the library on Monday, February 2 at 6 p.m. The Gear's are Wyoming authors of numerous books including "The Visitant" which is the first book in the Anasazi Mystery book discussion series. Stop by to pick up this book if you haven't yet done so!

A new suspense novel by Phillip Margolin is "Woman with a Gun." Visiting a retrospective of photographer Kathy Morgan's work, Stacy Kim is entranced by the exhibition's center piece - the famous woman with a gun which won a Pulitzer Prize and launched Morgan's career. Curious and obsessed with finding answers Stacy discovers that the photograph's subject is Megan Cahill, suspected of killing her millionaire husband with a six-shooter on their wedding night. The murder was never solved and the one person who may know the whole story isn't talking.

Other new fiction books are "Arctic Storm" by Joanne Sundell, "The Monogram Murders" Sophie Hannah, "War Dogs" by Greg Bear, "Pegasus" by Danielle Steel, "The Promise" by Beth Wiseman, "Tom Clancy's Full Force and Effect" by Mark Greaney, "Ethan & Connal" by Diane Palmer and "Revealing Us" by Lisa Renee Jones. Maggie Stiefvater's newest young adult title in the Raven Cycle series is "Blue Lily, Lily Blue" and "Black Ice" by Becca Fitzpatrick is also now available.

New nonfiction books are "Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation" by Bill Nye, "Teenagers 101: What a Top Teacher Wishes You Knew about Helping Your Kid Succeed" by Rebecca Deurlein and "Kovel's Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide 2015" by Terry Kovel.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "Don't Wake the Dinosaur!" by Geronimo Stilton and "House of Robots" by James Patterson. New picture books include "Noah" by Mark Ludy, "Path to the Pork Side" by Scarlett O'Hara, and "Lost Tooth Rescue" by Kate Ledger.
