Monday, February 23 the film, "A Serious Man" will be showing at 6 p.m. as part of the dinner & movie series, Cinema and the Sacred. A light meal will be available and discussion will be facilitated by Deane Tucker.

Beginning Tuesday, March 3 children can enjoy Lego Time on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. This activity time is open to all ages and does not require registration.

Have you tried the new service, Hoopla yet? Hoopla gives library patrons access to streaming and downloadable movies, television, music and audiobooks. All items are available all of the time, so there is no waiting. If you are using Hoopla on your computer or laptop go to the library's webpage: http://niobraracountylibrary.org and click on Hoopla, you'll need to sign up with your library card number and PIN and then create an account. You can immediately begin streaming. You can also stream or download items to your mobile devices, get the Hoopla app, sign up and you're ready to go. If you have questions or don't have a library card be sure to come by the library.

Joel C. Rosenberg's new book is entitled "The Third Target." The Islamic State, a dangerous al-Queda off shoot also known as ISIS is on the rampage. Already they have attacked two governments, brutally killing anyone who stands in their way. Now they have their sights on a third target, but who will it be - the United States.... Israel..... or someone else?

Other new fiction books are "I Belong To You" by Lisa Renee Jones, "Hush" by Karen Robards, "Uncompahgre: Where Water Turns Rocks Red" by Reid Lance Rosenthal, "Treasured" by Candace Camp, "Where Trust Lies" by Janette Oke, "Saint Odd" by Dean Koontz, "Burned" by Karen Marie Moning and "First Frost" by Sarah Addison Allen. A new series by "Pretty Little Liar's" author, Sara Shepard begins with the title of the same name, "The Perfectionists," now available to checkout.

New nonfiction books are "Walking in the Light: the Everyday Empowerment of a Shamanic Life" by Sandra Ingerman, "God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy" by Mike Huckabee and "Food & Wine Annual Cookbook, 2014" edited by Susan Choung.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "Disappearance at Hangman's Bluff" by J.E. Thompson and "The Romeo and Juliet Code" by Phoebe Stone. Some new easy titles are "School Day" by Jenne Simon, "The King of Space" by Jonny Duddle, and "The Misadventures of Sweetie Pie" by Chris Van Allsburg.
