"Crash and Burn" is the title of Lisa Gardner's latest novel. Nicole Frank shouldn't have survived the car accident much less crawled up a steep ravine... not in the dark... not in the rain... not with her injuries... and flag down help - saying she had to find a little girl. Sergeant Detective Wyatt Foster is frustrated when even a search dog can't find the child. Then Nicole's husband informs him that Nicole suffers from a rare brain injury and the police should not trust anything she says. Yet in the past few months, Nicole has suffered more than one accident. In fact it would appear that someone wants her dead.

Other new fiction books are "Cane and Abe" by James Grippando, "Fire Me Up" by Kimberly Kincaid, "The Promise of Palm Grove" by Shelley Shepard Gray, "The Whispering Swarm" by Michael Moorcock, "Against the Sky" by Kat Martin, "The Marriage Charm" by Linda Lael Miller and "Winchester 1886" by William W. Johnstone. "Four: a Divergent Collection" by Veronica Roth is among new YA books.

"The Energetic Keys to Indigo Kids: Your Guide to Raising and Resonating with New Children" by Maureen Dawn Healy and "God's Message to the World: You've Got Me All Wrong" by Neal Donald Walsch are now available in the non-fiction section.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "I Totally Funniest" by James Patterson and a new American Girl, "Grace" by Mary Casanova. New picture books include "Farm Days" by William Wegman, "Barbie and the Secret Door" by Courtney Carbone and "The Heaven of Animals" by Nancy Tillman.
