Thank you everyone for participating in the library foundation's Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser this month. This current fiscal year the library foundation has granted $50,000 specifically for the library's operating budget as a result of endowment. Additional distributable funds have been used to pay for and support the Virtual Library, the Wyoming-specific Legal Forms database as well as print, digital and audio/visual materials. The foundation supports the newsletter and this spring the painting of the exterior Carnegie entrance will be paid for as a result of foundation fundraising. Thank you to everyone who participates and helps in the fundraisers that are indeed making a difference in what our library is able to do for and offer our community.

"Early Warning" is the newest book by Pulitzer Prize winner Jane Smiley and the sequel to "Some Luck." In 1953 the stalwart patriarch of the Langdon family suddenly dies leaving five children, now adults, looking to the future. Only one will remain in Iowa to work the land. The others scatter to Washington, D.C., California, and everywhere in between. They have children of their own. One of their boys will drop out of college to fight in Vietnam - leaving behind a secret legacy that will send shock waves through the Langdon family to the next generation. Also available on cd.
