"The Perfect Letter" is a new novel by Chris Harrison, host of ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Leigh Merrill, a talented book editor, has spent ten years running away from her past. When an invitation arrives asking her to be the keynote speaker at the Austin Writer's Conference she couldn't ignore the nagging feeling that Texas, with all its tangled secrets, was calling her home. Still, Leigh sees the conference as a way to catch up with old friends and met a few potential authors but when deeply personal letters are left in her hotel room, the past and the present crash in around her.

Other new fiction books are "The Marriage Season" by Linda Lael Miller, "Piranha" by Clive Cussler, "Texas Tough" by Janet Dailey, "On Cimarron" by Paul Joseph Lederer, "Constant Fear" by Daniel Palmer, "Double Down" by Fern Michaels and "The Rocks" by Peter Nichols. "The Door in the Moon" by Catherine Fisher and "Rogue" by Julie Kagawa are among new YA fiction.

New nonfiction books include "The Lost Girls: the True Story of the Cleveland Abduction and the Incredible Rescue of Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry, and Gina DeJesus" by John Glatt and "Life Loves You: 7 Spiritual Practices to Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "Creepella Van Cacklefur: Ride For Your Life" by Geronimo Stilton, "Rivalry at Silver Spires" by Ann Bryant, and "Oliver Moon and the Monster Mystery" by Sue Mongredien. New easy titles include "The Adventures of Beekle, the Unimaginary Friend" by Dan Santat, "Pete the Cat: Construction Destruction" by James Dean and "Hello Kitty: Search and Find."
