A new novel by Barbara Delinsky is "Blueprints." Caroline MacAfee is a skilled carpenter. Her daughter, Jamie, is a talented architect. Together they are the faces of "Gut It!" - a home-renovation television series and the owners of the business MacAfee Homes. The day after Caroline's 56th birthday the network replaces her as host with her daughter, Jamie. Soon after, Jamie's father and his new wife die in a car accident leaving Jamie with their 2 year-old son and Caroline as caregiver to her ex-husband's father.
