A new author for our library is Glen Erik Hamilton who has written a suspense novel entitled "Past Crimes." From the time he was 6 years old, Van Shaw was raised by his Irish immigrant grandfather, Donovan, to be a thief. At the age of 18, Van escaped into the military, serving as an elite Army Ranger in Iraq and Afghanistan. After 10 years of silence, his grandfather asks Van to come home, but when he arrives at Donovan's house, he discovers his grandfather dying from a gunshot to the head and he knows that the cops will try to link him to the crime. To clear his name and avenge his grandfather, Van follows a dangerous trail of clues that plunges him into the criminal underworld – and uncovers a shocking family secret. The sequel, "Hard Cold Winter" is also available; these titles are also available in the Virtual Library.
