Plan to stop in the library this month and view the Lacey Dale Photography exhibit. The exhibit, featuring natural light photography will be on display until the end of September.

Your library card number (29092…) and PIN will give you access to all of the research materials in GoWyld including access to test preparation materials through the Learning Express Library. Learning Express has materials available from fourth grade through high school in the School Center including practice, lessons, and study aids to help your child do the best in school. Other centers include Adult Learning, GED, Careers and College Preparation. Freading, a digital library, has thousands of ebooks including hundreds of study aids from entrance exams to civil service exams and financial aid books. From our homepage, click on the "GoWyld" tab, then "Test Preparation" to browse what's available.

A new suspense novel is "The Bones of Paradise" by Jonis Agee. Ten years after the 7th Cavalry massacre of more than 200 Lakota men, women, and children at Wounded Knee, J. B. Bennett, a white rancher and Star, a young Sioux woman, are murdered in a remote meadow on J.B.'s land in the Nebraska Sandhills. The deaths bring together the scattered members of J.B.'s family and as the mystery of these twin deaths unfold the history of the dysfunctional Bennett's and their damning secrets are revealed - exposing the conflicted heart of a nation caught between the past and the future.

Other new fiction books include "Good as Gone" by Amy Gentry, "The Choices We Make" by Karma Brown, "Badman's Pass" by R. W. Stone, "Fearless" by Kimberly Kincaid, "Just Kiss Me" by Rachel Gibson, "A Civil Issue" by Curt Von Fange, "Illusion Town" by Jayne Castle, "Someone Always Knows" by Marcia Muller and "Smooth Operator" by Stuart Woods. New titles for the young adult are "The Season" by Jonah Lisa Dyer and "Paper and Fire" by Rachel Caine.

"A Phone Where the Buffalo Roamed: Connecting Neighbors in America's Outback" by Terry A. Del Bene is among new nonfiction, along with "My Family Puzzle" by Betty Rumney LaToush and "God and the Afterlife: the Ground Breaking New Evidence for God and the Near-Death Experience" by Jeffrey Long, M.D.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books, "Terror of the Nightwatchman" by Tommy Donbavand, "Maddie's Dream" by Catherine Hapka and "The Haunting of Falcon House" by Eugene Yelchin. A few of the newer easy titles are "Clara" by Emily Arnold McCully, "Our Great Big Backyard" by Laura Bush, "Let Me Finish" by Minh Le and "Ninja Dad" by Shane Johnson.
