The movie, “Ferdinand” will be shown at the library on Friday, March 16 at 1:35 p.m.. Set in Spain, Ferdinand proves you can't judge a bull by its cover. The movie is rated PG and is 108 minutes. The library provides the popcorn, please bring your own drink.

Monday, March 26 “Little Miss Sunshine” will be shown as part of the “Happy Endings : Overcoming Crisis” dinner and movie series at 6 p.m. “Little Miss Sunshine” is the story of a family determined to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant - and take a cross-country trip in their VW bus to get there…. A light meal will be available and Deane Tucker, PhD Chadron State College will facilitate the discussion. Library programs are free and open to the public.

Mark your calendar for Wednesday, March 28! Author, Preethi Fernando will present the workshop, “Resume Writing, Cover Letter Writing, and Connecting with Social Media in the Job Hunt: Essential Principles You Need to Know About Landing a Job in 2018” at the library at 5 p.m. Fernando’s workshop is useful, informative and practical; by the end of the session participants will have an understanding of how to use free resume writing templates and will learn what to eliminate from the resume and what to do after submitting a resume. Preethi will also share information about the online job application submission process as well as the best websites to use and why LinkedIn and social media are important. Participants will also learn how they can build a website for minimal cost. By the end of the two hour session you will have a clear direction of what you should do and avoid in your job hunt.

“The Wife” is a new novel by Alafair Burke. Angela met Jason Powell, a brilliant economics professor at NYU, while catering a dinner party in East Hampton. They married the following summer. Six years later, thanks to a best-selling book and a growing media career, Jason had become a cultured lightning rod. Then two women came forward with allegations against Jason and their perfect life began to unravel. Jason insists that he is innocent. Then one of the women disappears and Angela is forced to take a close look – at both the man she married and the woman she chose not to believe.

Wyoming author, George Trojan’s book, “Too Young for the Times” is now available in the new non-fiction section along with “Archaeology: the essential Guide to Our Human Past” edited by Paul Bahn and “The Miracle of Regenerative Medicine: How to Naturally Reverse the Aging Process” by Elisa Lottor.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books “Supergirl : Age of Atlantis” by Jo Whittemore, “We Are Party People” by Leslie Margolis and “Digging For Trouble” by Linda Fairstein. Some of the newer easy books include “Imagine” by John Lennon, “The Bad Mood and the Stick” by Lemony Snicket, “Bruce’s Big Move” by Ryan T. Higgins and “Bizzy Mizz Lizzie” by David Shannon.

“Bloomin’ Flowers!” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, March 21, 2018. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday for children age 3 through kindergarten. Call to hear a recorded story anytime by dialing : 334-3274. The Friends of the Library sponsor Dial-A-Story.
