Photographer, Brent McQuery’s exhibit in on display through September 28 at the library. If you haven’t stopped by yet be sure to do so soon.

Heather Irvine-Goddard is the library’s October artist. Irvine-Goddard is the owner and photographer of Crown & Cross Photography and has been enjoying photography since she was a child. Heather is always looking for the perfect moment that captures not just the image, but the emotion behind the image. Lately she has been focusing on portraits and life-style photography. Her exhibit will be on display throughout the month of October. A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 10 at 5 p.m.

The library will be hosting author, Kenny Wasserburger on Tuesday, October 9 at 6 p.m. “Die OST Front” is technically correct, carefully researched and a shooters novel of the highest level. The author, a Niobrara County native is a 5-time National BPCR Scoped Rifle Champion, a Oilpatch Lease Operator, and former Coal Miner and makes his home in Gillette Wyoming.

“The Iceman” is P.T. Deutermann’s latest novel. In 1942, Lieutenant Commander Malachi Stormes with a U.S. Navy S-Class submarine manages to trap and sink three German U-boats off the port city of St. Nazaire in France. He is promoted and given command of a brand new class of submarine, a fleet boat called Firefish. Based in Perth, Australia, the Perth boats are the only American forces capable of hitting the Japanese in the Western Pacific. The Firefish sinks more ships than any other Perth boat on her first war patrol, but Storme’s unconventional tactics frighten his crew - who nickname him the Iceman. While the crew is proud of their boat’s accomplishment, they wonder if their iron-willed skipper will bring them home alive.
