Harpist, Dave Shaul will be presenting a concert on Sunday, February 10 at 2 p.m. This library event will be held at the Congregational Church. Shaul has been a principal harpist and is a virtuoso performer on both folk and pedal harp. Sunday’s concert will feature the pedal harp, Burmese harp, and cross harp. Violinist Kim Strand will join Shaul in several numbers. Plan now to attend this concert. Library programs are free and open to the public.

The Friends of the Library are excited to present Rocky Mountain Puppets with ventriloquist, Meghan Casey on Wednesday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. This is the second of three RIF (Reading is Fun) programs and each child will be able to select their very own book to keep. Snacks will also be a part of the evening.

“Who I Am With You” is Robin Lee Hatcher’s latest novel. Jessica Mason is still reeling from the tragic, unexpected loss of her husband and her daughter – and awaiting the arrival of her unborn child. Harboring the secret of her husband’s betrayal, her pain is deeper than anyone knows. Ridley Chesterfield is hiding out in Hope Springs, Idaho, avoiding a political scandal and the barrage of false media headlines that have tarnished his good name. As Ridley and Jessica help each other forgive the people who had wronged them, they must decide if the past will define them or if they will choose to love again.

Other new fiction books are “Final Shadows” by Kay Hooper, “Dirty Little Secret” by Jennifer Ryan, “The Three Beths” by Jeff Abbott, “Home to Wind River” by Lindsay McKenna, “Under the Midnight Sun” by Tracie Peterson, “Died in the Wool” by Peggy Ehrhart, “Mexican Standoff” by Giles Tippette, “The Dogfather” by Sparkle Abbey and “The Quilting Cozy Series” by Carol Dean Jones with titles like “Tie Died.” A new title in the young adult section is “29 Dates” by Melissa de la Cruz.

New non-fiction titles include the three-volume “Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises” by Ray Dalio, “Game Changers: What Leaders, Innovators, & Mavericks Do to Win at Life” by Dave Asprey and “Parenting Through Puberty: Mood Swings, Acne, and Growing Pains” by Suanne Kowal-Connelly.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books “DIY Pet Shop” by Martha Maker and “Shelby’s Story” by W. Bruce Cameron. Some of the newer easy titles are “A Valentine for Frankenstein” by Leslie Kimmelman, “We Were Made for Each Other” by Jiu Er, “Duck and Hippo: the Secret Valentine” by Jonathan London and “Mirabel’s Missing Valentines” by Janet Lawler.

A “Valentine’s Day Party!” is planned for Storyhour on Tuesday, Feb 12, 2019. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday throughout the year for children age 3 through kindergarten. Call to hear a recorded story by dialing, 307-334-3274. The Friends of the Library sponsor this 24/7 storyline!
