“Mrs. Everything” is Jennifer Weiner’s latest novel. Growing up in 1950’s Detroit, Jo and Bethie Kaufman lived in a “Dick and Jane” house where their roles were clearly defined. Jo is the tomboy. Bethie is the pretty, feminine, good girl. As their lives unfold against a background of free love, Vietnam and women’s lib, Bethie becomes an adventure-loving wild child while Jo becomes a proper young mother. Neither woman inhabits the world she dreamed of - is it too late for the women to make a claim on “happily ever after?” This book is also available digitally through the 3M Cloud Library and as an audio through RBDigital. Your library card number and PIN gives you access.
