Be sure to stop in the library on Friday, October 4 for “Fall Into Fall,” we’ll have goodies to give-away throughout the day as a thank you to our community and library patrons. Thank you also to Karen Titchener, Marilyn Allbright, Pat Pfaffenhauser and Vickie Scott for creating an inviting fall hay bale display.

Thursday, October 3 the NCL Foundation presents musician Sarah McQuaid in concert at 6 p.m. at the Congregational Church. Plan to attend!

Crochet @ the Library will be held on October 2, October 9 and October 16 at 5:30 p.m. with fiber artist, Vickie Scott. If you are new to crochet or have questions plan to attend. We will have some supplies to practice with or bring your own.

Natasha Doyle’s photography will be displayed through October 11 – be sure to stop by and check out her exhibit!

“Game of Snipers” is Stephen Hunter’s latest novel. When Bob Lee Swagger is approached by a woman who lost her marine son to a mercenary, he knows he’ll do everything he can to track the man down. What he doesn’t know is that the man’s past work is nothing compared to his next job. Swagger must decipher clues left by a ruthless killer – who seems to be planning an impossible shot. “Game of Snipers” is also available on CD and in the Virtual Library (Overdrive/Libby).

Other new fiction books are “A Song For the Stars” by Ilima Todd, “Knit One, Die Two” by Peggy Ehrhart, “Wildcats of Tonto Basin” by Nelson C. Nye, “Lone Wolf Cowboy” by Maisey Yates, “Wind River Protector” by Lindsay McKenna, “The Rage of Dragons” by Evan Winter, “Tempestuous Eden” by Heather Graham, “Breathless” by Helen Hardt, and “Murder in the Backcountry” by J. E. Terrall. A newest installment in the “Lorien Legacies Reborn” series is “Return to Zero” by Pittacus Lore and now available in the YA section.

New non-fiction titles are “Travel Light, Move Fast” by Alexandra Fuller, “Real Estate Investing 101: From Finding Properties and Securing Mortgage Terms to REITS and Flipping Houses, an Essential Primer on How to Make Money With Real Estate” by Michele Cagan, and “Undo It: How Simple Life Style Changes Can Reverse Most Chronic Diseases” by Dean Ornish.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children's Library has these new junior books “Mr. Penguin and the Lost Treasure” by Alex T. Smith, “Super Turbo and the Fire-Breathing Dragon” by Lee Kirby, plus the “Captain Awesome Series” by Stan Kirby. A few of the newer easy titles include “Tom’s Lost Tooth” by Liza Charlesworth, “Puppy Mudge Loves His Blanket” by Cynthia Rylant, “Daniel Will Pack a Snack” by Tina Gallo, and “Scuffy The Tugboat” by Kristen L. Depken.

“Alphabet” is the theme for Storyhour on October 8, 2019. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays throughout the year. Call to hear a recorded story by dialing 307-334-3274 Dial-A-Story is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

“Consumer Reports” along with ratings is available in the library to check out and also by going to http://gowyld.net and clicking on General Topics and then Masterfile Complete, scroll down a bit and click on the full-text box and add “Consumer Reports” and be sure to include your search in the search bar.
