Gust Krein
Services for Gust Krein, 67, were Tuesday, June 9 at the Peet Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Leo Brotzman officiating. Burial is in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mr. Krein died June 5, 1987 at his home in Lusk following a brief illness. He was born July 20, 1919 at Turtle, ND, the son of John and Elizabeth (Waltz) Krein.
He married Alma Orman on May 12, 1940 at Turtle Lake, ND. He farmed in the Turtle community until 1962 when he moved to Montana to work on construction. In 1963 he moved to Lusk and began working for Kilmer Dairy. He purchased the dairy in 1979, retiring in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, an infant son, and two grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife; six sons, Gary of Canon City, CO, Larry of Riverton, Darold of Mobridge, SD, Darvin of Cresson, TX, John of Lusk and Dwight of Hat Creek; five daughters, Leola Morrell of Torrington, Lila Owren, Wanda Brown, Karen Jassman and Kathy Wedemeyer, all of Lusk; five sisters, five brothers, 25 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial in Mr. Krein's name to the family would be appreciated.
