Clifford Mangus service today
Clifford Mangus, Lusk business man, died Monday at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital. Funeral service is being held at 3:00 this Thursday afternoon, March 31, at the Peet Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating.
Mrs. Esther Bozart, organist, will be accompanying Mark Lohr singing "How Great Thou Art" and "Beyond The Sunset" and Danny Mangus as he sings "There Is a River".
Casket bearers will be Robert Vollmer, Herbert Klindt, Van Hank, Melvin Meier, Richard Schnorenberg, and Robert Templeton. Burial is to be in the Lusk Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Open Bible Church.
Clifford A. Mangus was born Jan. 31, 1911, at Kanorado, Kans., the son of George and Emily Lilly Mangus. He grew to manhood at Kanorado attending school there and participating in all athletics. He maintained an interest in sports his entire lifetime. He and Iris W. Goatley were married at Burlington, Colo. They were the parents of one son.
Mr. Mangus was a member of the Niobrara Country Club and the Elks Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 brothers.
He is survived by his widow of Lusk, son Danny Mangus and daughter-in-law Sharon of Glenrock; three grandchildren, Tena Marie Church, Danny Dean, and Guy Clifford Mangus; 4 brothers Harold of Norton, Kan., Luther of Commerce City, Colo., Preston Y. of Rock Springs and Clarence E. of Douglas; 2 sisters Della Nagel and Naomi Windell of Kanorado, Kan.
