Wayne Nyle York, 63, passed away May 30th 2014 at Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born October 10th 1950 to Earl and Clara York in Douglas, Wyoming. His early childhood was spent around Shawnee, Wyoming where he then later moved to Buffalo where he graduated high school from. During his teen years he began working the areas ranches around the Buffalo and the Kaycee area. It was in the Buffalo area where he met his wife, Barb. They were married in October of 1977. They lived in Kaycee for several years until moving to south of Newcastle before settling down for the past 23 years in the Hat Creek area north of Lusk. Wayne was a lifelong rancher that enjoyed sharing his lifestyle with his wife, family, and friends. He had a genuine heart for his family, friends, and neighbors lending a hand when they needed it. He was a man of many talents and interests including reloading, gun collecting, hunting, and visiting with the family. But his greatest enjoyment and satisfaction in life was teasing his kids, nieces and nephews and more recently, his grandkids. He will forever be remembered for his sense of humor and smile that he loved to share with his family and friends.
Wayne is survived by his wife Barb. Children Jennifer and Brian Meyer (Missouri), John York of Lusk, Michaela and Blain Wheeler of Lingle. Grandchildren Hunter and Kaelyn Meyer of Missouri.
