Death of Mrs. Fred Boyd Occurs May 14

While it was generally understood that Mrs. Fred Boyd was quite ill, it was nevertheless a surprise to her friends when they learned that she had slipped away to the other shore in the quiet morning hours Saturday, May 14th. Mrs. Boyd was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and came to Lusk some eleven years ago, where she met her husband, Fred A. Boyd, to whom she was married on September 7, 1911.

She was of a rather quiet disposition, caring more for the few friends that were close and intimate, then for the many who were just acquaintances. She enjoyed her home life and the ties around it, entering into only a few things of a public nature.

When it was found that her sickness seemed to be of a serious nature her sister, Miss Lois Dean was sent for, and remained with her until the reaper came for his prize. She is survived by her husband, Fred A. Boyd, a daughter, Laura Virginia, and two sisters, Misses Laura and Lois Dean, both of Pittsburgh, Penn.

The funeral services were held at the residence at two o'clock Monday afternoon, with Rev. Johnson officiating. Her body was laid to rest in the Lusk Cemetery. During the hour of the funeral services the business houses were closed.

May she rest in peace.
