Edwin S. Grapes, 58, rancher in the Prairie Center area, died January 30 in the Goshen County Memorial Hospital. Services were held at the Colyer funeral home in Torrington with the Rev. Robert O. McCaslin officiating.

Burial was made in the Valley View Cemetery at Torrington.

He was born at Sheldon, Ia., May 3, 1897, and married Agnes Westerman on March 22, 1920 at Torrington. He was engaged in ranching 35 miles north of Torrington for the past 43 years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Leroy of Jay Em, Robert of Laramie, and Wendell at home; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Watt of Torrington; one sister, Mrs. Mona Ackerman of Cheyenne; and seven grandchildren.
