John W. Gorsuch Passes Away Here
John W. Gorsuch, 77 years old, died at the ranch home of Marcus Nelson, on Tuesday, Nov. 1, of diabetes, from which he had suffered for some time. Services were held at the Universal Funeral parlors at 2 o'clock, with Rev. N.C. Coggin, pastor of the Baptist church officiating. Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery.
Mr. Gorsuch was born at Millcreek, Pa., coming to Wyoming about ten years ago, when he and his sister, Miss Rebecca, took up claims about 46 miles north of Lusk. With the exception of the three years spent on the claim and the past winter, which was spent in California, Mr. Gorsuch and his sister have lived at the Marcus Nelson ranch.
The immediate survivors are a son, Charlie, in Pittsburg, Pa., a daughter, Mrs. F. W. Priest of National City, Cal., and sisters, Mrs. Albert Wetwer of Lancaster, Pa., and Miss Rebecca of Lusk, and one brother, I.N. Gorsuch of Millcreek, Pa. Mrs. Roy Moss of Crawford and Mrs. Jack McFarlane of this city are nieces of the deceased.
