Pioneer Resident Dies On Coast

Note: The birth date information that can be confirmed is only the year, 1854. The death date can only be confirmed as late November, 1927.

Word was received here this week of the death of Tom Davis, brother-in-law of George Saffel of Lusk, in San Diego, Cal., where Mr. Davis had gone in the hope of benefiting his health. The body was shipped to Dayton, about 25 miles from Sheridan, Wyo., the family home, where the funeral will take place.

Mr. Davis was through Lusk last October, his first visit here in thirty-five years. He has been a resident near Sheridan for many years, but was formerly a cattleman here in the early days. He helped survey the first telegraph line for the Cheyenne-Deadwood stage line through Lusk to the Black Hills.
