Homer C. Baughman Dies From Injuries When Horse Kicks Him at Road Camp

Welder on Bridge Crew Dies in Lusk Sunday, Febrary 13; Funeral Here Tuesday

Homer C. Baughman, 58, from near Dogie, Wyoming passed away at the Lusk hospital, Sunday, Feb. 13th from the effects of an injury incurred a couple of days previous.

Mr. Baughman was employed as a welder on some bridge construction work in the northern part of Niobrara county and Friday while passing a horse, which had been tied there, the animal kicked him, badly fracturing his arm and breaking some ribs. He also suffered internal injuries and was brought into the Lusk hospital where he appeared to be holding his own when he suffered an internal hemorhage and died very suddenly Sunday.

Funeral services were held from the Peet Mortuary, Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 15th at two thirty o'clock with Rev. P. H. Evans of the Baptist church of Lusk officiating.

The pall bearers were J. L. Rice, H. B. Hargraves, Dewey Loveland, Fred Root, John Rice and W. W. Edmondson.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Abdon DeCastro and Mrs. Cobb with Mrs. J. P. Watson as pianist.

Mrs. Frank Provost of Lance Creek is a sister of the deceased and he is survived also by his mother, Mr. E. M. Baughman and a brother and sister in Oklahoma and one other sister in California.

Mr. Baughman was born in Indiana 58 years ago and came to Wyoming from Oklahoma about ten years ago, having resided in the north part of the county since coming here.
