Agnes DeBock County Pioneer, Dies Sept. 30

Agnes Hoffman DeBock died September 30 at Gra-Mar Nursing Home in Scottsbluff at the age of 82. She was born January 25, 1889, to Joseph and Anna Hoffman in Sioux County where she lived the greater portion of her life.

In 1930 she was married to Leo DeBock. One daughter, Marie, was born.

After her husband's death in 1946 she moved to Crawford where she operated a nursing home for a number of years.

In more recent years she had made her home with her brother Henry and his wife in Crawford.

She is survived by her brother, Henry Hoffman of Crawford, a sister, Frances Cutkosky of Omaha, five step-daughters, Rose Houx and Frances Hourt of Harrison, Florence Stetson of Boulder, Colo., Grace Valencia of Redondo Beach Calif., and Sister David Marie of Red Bluffs, Calif., 31 grandchildren, and 65 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, four brothers, three sisters, and three step-sons.

Rosary was held Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Crawford. Funeral Mass was held Saturday at the same church. Burial was at Harrison.

Pallbearers were six of her grandsons--Henry Hourt of Limon, Colo., Gene Kriz of Chadron, Jerry Anderson, Don Dunn, Pat Hourt all of Harrison and Joe Hourt of Crawford.

Those who attended the services from out of town were Mrs. Donald Hoffman, Mrs. Eileen Bruce and Mrs. Alvin Parmely, all of Casper; Mrs. Gladys DeBock and Mrs. Bill Coffee of Torrington, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stetson of Boulder, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Stetson of Littleton, Colo., Mrs. Dan Lawson of Lakewood, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hourt of Limon, Colo., Mrs. Jerry Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. J. Difkin, Mrs. Blanch DeBock all of Alliance, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kriz of Chadron.
