Memorial services for Mary Duckworth, 81, of Lusk were held Tuesday, May 27 at Peet Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Nick Natelli officiated with burial following in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Duckworth died Saturday, May 24, 1986 at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 28, 1904 in Russia, the daughter of Emanuel and Anna Wolfe, and came to the United States with her family in 1907.
She and her family made their home in Lehigh, JS, where she received her education. She married Russell Duckworth on Aug. 14, 1924. They made their home in Kansas until moving to Loveland, CO where they owned and operated a motel until retiring in 1972. In June 1985, the couple moved to Lusk.
Survivors include her husband Russell of Lusk; one brother, Ben Wolfe of Lusk; one sister, Amelia Stokes of Dodge City, KS; plus numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorials to a charity of the donor's choosing will be appreciated by the family. Peet Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
