J. "Val" Edmondson
J. "Val" Edmondson, 74, died March 7, 1997, at Niobrara County Hospital in Lusk. Services were March 12 at Redwood Memorial Estates. Memorials are to Niobrara Senior Center.
He was born June 4, 1922, in Lusk to Mabel F. and William W. Edmondson. He married Gloria M. Castillo Dec. 24, 1961, in Denver. They lived in Casper for two years and then moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. He was raised in Lusk and graduated from Niobrara County High School. He retired from Hill AFB after 25 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors include his wife; sons William V. Edmondson of Dickinson, Texas and James C. Edmondson of Salt Lake City; daughter Carol Ann Peterson of Fort Collins, Colo.; stepson Robert J. Castillo of Salt Lake City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
