Emma Kittelmann

Emma Kittelmann, 105, of Alliance, Neb., formerly of the Lance Creek area, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at Highland Park Care Center in Alliance. A funeral was held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk. Interment followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

She was born April 1, 1900, to James and Barbara Jirsa Krejci on a Sheridan County, Nebraska Homestead.

She married Reinold Kittelmann on April 30, 1922. They farmed North of Alliance, Neb. until he passed away in 1947. Following his death she moved to a ranch North of Manville to help care for a sister-in-law and assist her brother James on the ranch. Following her brother's death, she moved to Lusk. She resided in her home until she was nearly 101 years old. In 2001, she moved to a nursing home in Alliance to be close to family.

Emma enjoyed her family, embroidering, knitting, crocheting and making her own clothes.

She is survived by her grandsons Randy (Julie) Kittelmann, Bruce (Lisa) Kittelmann and Monte (Andra) Kittelmann of Alliance; 15 great-grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, son Paul "Pete" Kittelmann, brothers Rudolph, Adolph, James, Fred, Louis and Charles, sister Mary and grandson Bradley.
