Mrs. Hargraves died on May 12, 1989, in Casper after a lengthy illness. She was born on Oct. 11, 1910, in Lusk to George and Olive (Berggren) Hargrove of Hat Creek. Her early years were spent on the family ranch. She graduated from Lusk High School in 1929 and then attended the University of Wyoming.

On Nov. 14, 1936, she married Lyman Hargraves at Scottsbluff, Neb. They moved throughout Wyoming for the next several years following oil field work and then settled in Worland.

Mrs. Hargraves operated St. Albans Kindergarten for 13 years in Worland. They moved to Casper in 1968 and she was employed at Casper College's Goodstein Library for 14 years.

Mrs. Hargraves was a member of Chapter AT PEO and was active in the Bethel Baptist Church. She helped organize the Christian Women's Club and served as a volunteer at Poplar Living Center for many years. She also was active with Cub Scout and Girl Scout troops, when her children were young.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Cremation has taken place and interment was conducted at the Lusk Cemetery on Saturday, May 20, by The Rev. Scott Grimshaw of Lusk First Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Memorials to the Central Wyoming Cancer Treatment Center and Hospice or to Bethel Baptist Church would be equally appreciated.
