Dorothy Brewer

Graveside services for Dorothy Brewer, 82, have been set for 2 p.m., Saturday, July 29, at the Lusk Cemetary in Lusk. The services will be conducted by Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home. Informal services will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 27 at Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating. Dorothy passed away Friday, July 21, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas.

Dorothy Packard married Guy Brewer in 1939 in Wyoming. He preceded her in death in 1982. She came to Wyoming from Nebraska in a covered wagon. She had many career occupations over the years, including a truck driver and a teacher's aide. Mrs. Brewer was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars #3511 in Lusk, Wyoming. She was also preceded in death by her son Keith Eldon Brewer in 1941.

Survivors include: two daughters, Wanda Schmidt of Amarillo and Phyllis Carlson of Potter, Neb.; two brothers, Robert Packard of Parsons, Kan., and Donald Packard of Torrington; two sisters, Rozettia "Zettie" Jordan of Cheyenne, and Doris Hafner of Truth Or Consequences, N.M.; three grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
