Teresa I. Johnston
Funeral services for Teresa I. Johnston, 89, of Crawford, Neb., were held Monday, March 2, 1992, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Crawford with Fr. Neal Nollette officiating. Burial was in the Crawford Cemetery. A wake service was held Sunday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at the church.
A family reception was held Sunday from 4-6 p.m. in the Catholic Hall.
Johnston died Thursday, Feb. 27, 1992, at Chadron Hospital. She was born July 11, 1902 in Whitney, Neb., to Charles and Ida (Craig) Thomas. A memorial has been established to Ponderosa Villa Nursing Home. Donations may be sent to Crawford State Bank.
Johnston was affiliated with Log Cabin Extension Club of Harrison and St. Leo's Catholic Church Altar Society of Lusk, Wyo.
She is survived by a son, Laurence Johnston of Elk Grove, Calif.; daughters Anita Geike of Lusk, Leona Mason of Quartzsite, Ariz. and Velma Caswell of Taos, N.M.; brother, Bill Thomas of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister, Effie Wilder of Crawford, Katherine Konrath of Glenrock and Josephine Pettipiece of Stayton, Ore.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford was in charge of arrangements.
