Last Rites Held For Lem Joiner

Funeral services were held for H. L. "Lem" Joiner Saturday afternoon from the Peet Chapel with burial in the Lusk Cemetery. Rev. Frank Bozart of the Open Bible Church officiated.

Mr. Joiner, 81, long time resident of Lusk died in the Spencer Hospital following a lingering illness

Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Lyle Eddy sang, "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and "Abide With Me."

Pallbearers were: Glen Cates, Z. B. Crinklaw, Earl Criss, Ray Christian, Otto Klemke and C. P. Owens.

Hiram Lemuel Joiner was born April 25, 1882 the son of Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Joiner. He attended grade school in Nebraska City. At the age of 15 he began working in a clothing store. In 1905 he and Miss Clara Moyer were married in Tekamah, Neb. They had one son, Carl, who died in 1961.

The Joiners moved to Wyoming in 1916, where he was engaged in the clothing business. At one time he owned a clothing store and was a tailor for many years. He was a charter member of the Lusk Lions Club.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Clara, in 1960. He is survived by one grandson, James Robert Joiner of Findley, Ohio, several nieces and nephews.
